New York City, New York

Cute staycation with my boyfriend.
First very snowy weekend of 2017.
Me and my boyfriend.
Hi! *Devours delicious chocolate bar immediately.*
The king bed/killer views are the stars of the tiny (162 square foot) but very adorable Sky King room.
The Blind Barber bath amenities made me want to stay in the glass-enclosed rain shower for days.
Time for a pre-karaoke Bodega bite (get the pizza.)
This is my kind of bodega.
Post-bite, lobby art and me.
Time to pseudo study in the very well lit study.
Love a succulent moment.
First day of school.
I happened upon this fancy room, which I’m not sure I was supposed to enter.
He’s really going through it in MASSONI.
Breakfast is served.
Have several seats.
If only every snow day was spent in this bed.
Highs + Lows
The lobby, the restaurant (MASSONI) and bar (BARlo) are so impeccably and uniquely designed. I love the peaceful “library” on the second floor - massive, great natural lighting, funky furniture and art, super chill vibes.
The breakfast at MASSONI was superb. I could have their polenta pancakes paired with a Liquiteria juice (get the Grasshopper, obviously) all day, everyday.
The lobby-located “Bodega” is 24/7 hours - offering JOE coffee, eclectic savory bites (like the Koreatown-friendly “True Gentlemen Korean BBQ Jerky”) and sweet mouth watering-inducing treats (via chocolatiers like Nunu, Liddabit, and Cacao Prieto). I highly recommend MOUTH’s (to die for!) Flat White chocolate bar.
I regret not having MASSONI’s self-described “inauthentic Italian” dinner after our Italian-born waitress at breakfast filled us in on its deliciousness. She had me at “Italian/Asian fusion.”
As for Arlo NoMad’s best highlight? The bed and those city views! It literally feels like you’re sleeping on air.
No room service, but I didn’t mind considering the “Bodega” in the lobby is 24/7. (You’ve got to get the Chicago-y pizza. The sauce is delish.)
I wish there was a bathtub. And I wish I could steal the great Blind Barber products (the shampoo, conditioner and body wash are secured to the shower’s wall.) However, you can snatch a bar of soap and the moisturizer, which I’m lathered up in right now.
Rooms are on the small side, but the Instagram-friendly view, the price and the dream bed totally make up for it.

Pretentious-free, kind of hip, artsy, and super cute.
In the heart of lovely Koreatown.
Heard hip-hop in the evening, and more lush dream pop in the daytime.

You’ve got to take advantage of being in the heart of Koreatown. I suggest the hot-stone Bimimbap.
