andBEYOND KICHWA TEMBO HOSTS LIVE SAFARI BROADCASTS OF AFRICA’S GREAT MIGRATION
Ever since the first Virgin Hotel debuted in Chicago, we’ve been eager for Sir Richard Branson to bring his unique and reimagined brand of hospitality to the east coast. The Big Apple inched that much closer today as Branson and his team of developers broke ground at the future site of Virgin Hotels New York City. Located in the city’s growing NOMAD neighborhood (Short for ‘North of Madison’, and home to other AHL favorites The New York Edition and The NoMad.), the 40 story hotel will feature 463 Chambers, a rooftop pool and bar, and the brand’s flagship social space, The Commons Club.
Known for his splashy public announcements, Branson made a statement by burying a time capsule filled with mementos signifying key ‘Virgin’ moments that have happened in New York.
Pause that Instagram scrolling and let the Words With Friends games wait….from September 29-October 5th, we suggest you take some of your digital downtime to witness the fascinating Great Wildebeest Migration in Kenya! andBeyond, (our go-to recommendation for luxury safaris across Africa) and their Kichwa Tembo property have teamed up with HerdTracker and Make It Kenya to offer this amazing, virtual safari.
Broadcast via the Periscope app and YouTube Live Streaming, daily updates from the Masai Mara will take viewers along with expert teams on their game drives to witness the vast herds of wildebeest braving some of East Africa’s largest crocodiles as they cross the Mara River.
