  • What Do you do?

As Soho House Group explores new markets throughout Europe, my task is to understand the local culture, needs and expectations related to membership and then to work closely with the local team to curate the right assortment of members.

  • Do you have a favorite hotel in the world?

Babbington House is a favorite.  It's a short jaunt from London, but you feel like you're worlds away once you're out there.  For a more urban experience, the apartments at Soho House Berlin are great - uptown elegance with a downtown groove.

  • SOHO HOUSE BERLIN HAS QUICKLY GAINED AN INCREDIBLE REPUTATION FOR BEING ONE OF THE COOLEST HOTELS/HANGOUTS IN THE WORLD...WHAT'S YOUR SECRET?

I think our members and guests appreciate that home away from home feeling when they are in our hotels and clubs.  You - and that being anyone - can curl up on a chunky sofa with a great drink and your laptop or a tuck into a burger and a newspaper. You almost always walk in the door either with a friend, run into friends whilst here, or leave with a newfound friend.  At the end of the day, even though it's considered ‘cool’, there's an authenticity to it that makes you feel at home.

  • WHAT'S THE MOST RIDICULOUS REQUEST YOU'VE GOTTEN?

There are a few - and some too absurd to even mention.  I think my favorite situation is the 'don't you know who I am' scenario.  My reply is then - if you're asking me, there's a much bigger problem here.

  • IF YOU HAD THE DAY OFF TODAY WHERE WOULD YOU BE?

I just returned from Istanbul.  We're opening a House there next year and I think I would spend every minute there that I could - exploring the city and meeting new people and just loving the warmth of the people.  Otherwise, a day at home is actually a very welcome reprise for me.

  • WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE GROWING UP?

When I was very young, I wanted to be Wonder Woman.  She was beautiful and powerful - like my mom.  And that whole spinning in circles thing was just very glamourous.  Once reality set in, I set off on a path to be a performing artist, Broadway actually.  Perhaps the whole Wonder Woman gig was really not such a far cry in the end.

  • BERLIN IS KNOWN FOR MANY THINGS, INCLUDING ITS BRILLIANT NIGHTLIFE. WHAT'S THE MOST 'COLORFUL' THING YOU'VE WITNESSED?

I live in Mitte - which is a very trendy district.  Early mornings are colored with tourists in various states of undress dragging themselves home and stopping every few meters to lighten the load, releasing excess liquids.  Looking out my window to see a guy 'watering' the meter is quite a scene with your morning coffee.  On a lighter note, the sunsets here are brilliant.  Neon oranges and baby blues, fucia mixing in there with a streak of milky white...they are almost non-colors because they are so vibrant and unique.

  • DO YOU HAVE A HOTEL ANECDOTE YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE?

What happens in the House stays in the House...

  • WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE MINIBAR ITEM / AMENITY?

I am a big fan of our Cowshed range.  I love knowing that when I travel to a Soho House, that I can save room in my toiletry bag because there's always an assortment of really wonderful products on hand for me to indulge in.  And an ice cold Coke is like heaven at 5am when you come home and need to cool down before snaking into bed.

  • WHAT'S YOUR DREAM JOB?

I think I'm living my dream right now!

  • ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO ADD?

Discount airlines have killed sexy air travel. I remember as a kid, my mom made us get dressed up to fly.  It was an honor, a privilege. We looked and played the part.  I miss that. The elegance, the attitude, the grandeur of it all...
