Estalagem do Mirante

Brumadinho

by: Bianca Gayoso

  • Why

A visit to the biggest contemporary art gallery in the world, Inhotim… an open-air museum and botanical garden.

  • When

    August 2013

  • Who

Me and my two best friends.

Highs + Lows

  • Breathtaking experience to wake up early and see the sun rise in the valley. And at night you see more stars than you can imagine existed.

  • Delicious Brazilian breakfast! Pão de queijo (cheese-balls), a variety of breads, cheeses, cakes, everything!

  • Rooms are pretty big and really comfortable (they all have a very cozy fireplace).

  • The hotel rests upon a mountain so all of the rooms have an amazing view. The chalets (all distant from one another) are built directly over the ground (no leveling was done) so you actually “climb” to the rooms over the rocks, which resemble a stair.

  • They cleaning staff did not clean our room! But they were all very friendly and explained that we didn’t leave the keys in the reception (apparently they only have one key per room).
