A group of travel journalists and me.
The library and H.Q. of arts center Dar al-Ma’Mum. Here you can relax, read and just take time to ‘be’.
Traditional red clay entrance. At night it was lit by a blazing fire.
My large stone bedroom contained a huge bed, thick wool rug, wrap-around balcony and dressing room with hints of local décor.
Each ‘house’ or villa has an impressively large entrance hall that contains contemporary Moroccan art.
Check out my gorgeous goodie bag! Contains red clay lip stain, Argan oil, ‘Chanel’ perfume, organic ‘mascara’ and dried flowers.
View of the main house and pool from my balcony at dusk. The colours are stunning!
The view of the Atlas Mountains from my balcony while the sun set. I swear I could have lived on that balcony.
At night these huts come alive with a cocktails bar and DJ set.
Tree house! In fact Fellah has live animals and native plants dotted all over the tranquil gardens.
From the public dining room/bar you can take a dip and catch some rays.
My mega egg bath. By day it over looks the mountains. So relaxing.
Highs + Lows
Locale is fantastic for both city life and perfect seclusion.
The dedication to the arts is a real draw.
It is a beautiful hotel, guaranteeing serenity.
The little extras, such as the goodie-bag or the tray of dried fruit, were a real bonus.
The staff are a little laid back; unless you are too, it could get a little frustrating.
I found the menu a little bland. Breakfast was traditional, but I expected more of a Moroccan influence at dinner.
