The Inn at Kent Falls
by: Keren and Thomas Richter
To see the leaves..but we ended up seeing an incredibly beautiful snow fall instead!
Late November 2016.
The two of us.
The Inn at Kent Falls, right after the first snow fall.
The dining room — where complimentary breakfast is served each morning.
One of the many casual seating areas in the front of the Inn.
Another seating area, this one with a working fireplace, original to the 1700s building.
Charming original details, this is on the second floor where most of the guest rooms are located.
A den with fireplace, also available for guests to relax and hang out.
Our suite, with a sort of beachy farmhouse feel.
The suite featured an antique desk and several comfortable seating areas.
A pinstriped settee and charming schoolhouse desk in our room.
The farmhouse bathroom featured a spacious shower, linens by Frette and toiletries by Aveda.
Keren hanging out in front of the Inn (clearly before it snowed!).
Highs + Lows
Authenticity and originality. It really feels like you're at the most quintessential home in a spectacular part of nature. Lots of fireplaces and intimate places within the common areas for reading and relaxing.
Your stay comes with complimentary breakfast and it was delicious - frittata, pastries, coffee, fruit, orange juice. Really great.
Character and charm with class.
Walls are thin, it's an old house! It was fine for us but if it's fully packed it might be an issue overhearing other guests.

Bed and breakfast.
Low key, extremely comfortable, chic, cozy, historic and multiple fireplaces.
In Kent, home to a famous boarding school and some upscale antique shops. This place is definitely in a rural and residential part. Rolling hills, charming homes from the 1700 and 1800s, red painted barns abound.
None, very quiet.
- Year Opened
He bought the home in 2001.
- Designed By
The owner, Ira Goldspiel.
There is a full size outdoor pool open in the summer .
No, there is a full “honor bar” where you can make your own drinks.
Yes, it's fast and free.
Might be ok but we didn't see any, it’s a very small and laid-back inn.
Suites (large rooms with fireplaces and huge clawfoot tub) are $385. The larger queen room is $285 and the two smaller rooms are $245.
