Highs & Lows

  • The elevation of the hotel gives you a real perspective on how vast Tokyo is. I loved watching the city transform from afternoon haze to city nightscape.

  • Attention to detail. From the service staff to the art and decoration every detail has been carefully planned and curated. A highlight was the heavy stone feature with hand-carved watermarks made by Chinese artist Shen Lie Yi.

  • The food is a cornerstone of the hotel and very popular with Tokyo high rollers. I tried Hinokizaka and sampled the Sushi menu. 10 courses later and 14 different seafood selections I pretty much rolled into bed.

  • The hotel amenities are so good you'll never want to leave. Alas there is so much to do in Tokyo you'll be torn.

  • The 45th floor bar is expensive. Stay for one drink and the view then head down to Roppongi for cheaper drinks and vibe.
