Stained glass windows in the interior restaurant.
The Back Lobby - ping pong, foosball, booze and books.
Bedroom. Simple, sweet, and effective.
Endless supply of treats in the mini bar.
Outside my room, mellow hang area for private time.
"I love the planet and I'm really not that dirty!"
Entrance to the spa: a wormhole transporting
you into alpha relaxation.
A classic Turkish style Hamam: a Grecian half circle layout of stone with hot coils warming you underneath.
The Miami skyline in all its glory.
A few minutes from the Standard's boat docks.
Exterior Deck backside. A lovely place to begin your day with breakfast and the New York TImes.
Looking out toward Lido, casual back
deck dining overlooking the water.
Where all the magic happens. Poolside buddies,
Claudia Donaldson of Nowness and Waris.
Schmoozing, sunning, and oysters at the pool.
Blue skies and blue water. I have arrived at The Standard Spa.
The Standard Miami is a converted spa hotel
from the 1950's called The Lido Hotel.

Great pick to escape the city, cleanse the body, start a juice fast, do some yoga, and return to the city recharged.
For those “in the know” it’s a highly social gathering of fashion, entertainment, and music business folk. A pitstop for the “who’s who”. Good for power meetings.
A relaxing pool you can get lost in for days...and nights.
The hotel is dog friendly. Yay!
Hectic valet: if you’re in a rush to get in and out, give yourself extra time for valet parking to get your car. It can be quite a wait.
Due to the policy of no kids in the pool, the hotel is not a family friendly escape. (however, I'm sure the adults appreciate the non pee-pee pool)

Hip, seaside, creative and healthy getaway.
Off the grid away from noisy Ocean Drive, but conveniently near enough to bicycle (or taxi) into heart of South Beach shopping, bars, etc. Best of both worlds at your disposal.
A curated playlist emanates from all speakers. International, sexy, funky.

Yes, a power pool. Gym and spa are great.
In harmony with the fact it's a spa hotel, the menu honors well being with organic meats, fish and unprocessed foods with a Mediterranean vibe. P.S. They supply juice cleanses too!
Yes. Tucked behind the lobby.
Leave them at home.
Medium, $200-ish per night.
