Soho House Brings Its Signature Style to Amsterdam

Paintings, stroopwaffles, and Cecconi’s to boot

Amsterdam is a city of contrasts. It’s modern but retains its old-world charm. It’s bustling yet there’s a feeling of tranquility. It’s a little luxurious, but it never feels inaccessible. These traits are in line with the ethos of the Soho House brand, which is why the city is home to their latest location. Here those characteristics shine, brought to life with the cozy spaces that will make Soho House regulars feel at home while highlighting the style of the city navy walls, copper bathtubs, and expressive paintings evoking the Dutch Masters. There’s a kitchen that currently serves as the main food & beverage area (with stroopwaffles, of course), which will be joined by the open-to-the-public restaurant Cecconi’s this fall. The gym features state-of-the-art equipment as well as a canal view, and the Cowshed spa—also open to the public—rounds out the increasingly popular wellness offerings. It wouldn’t be Soho House without a rooftop pool, and Amsterdam with its distinct architecture in lieu of skyscrapers is a sight to behold. To regulars this might all sound du rigeur, but it’s what Soho House does best. The comfort, the style, now in one of the most charming cities in Europe.
