Alice + Olivia’s SS19 Collection Takes You Around the World

A vibrant collection for the globetrotting woman

One of the reasons that New York Fashion Week is so exciting is the amount of emerging designers offering interesting, strange, and provocative collections, but sometimes it feels like those clothes are best suited for the runway. On the other side you have brands like Alice + Olivia, which can generate its own excitement with elaborate set design and vibrant clothes you’ll actually be able to wear. And for SS19, Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet created the perfect wardrobe for A Hotel Lifers. The show was titled ‘Passport to Wonderland,’ with a whimsical and eclectic collection to match. Travel was the theme here, and Bendet wanted to represent cultures from around the world, mixing bright colors, striking patterns, and elegant shapes based on cities like Tokyo, Marrakesh, and Careyes. All of this still fit into Bendet’s formula of designing for adventurous and empowered women, many of whom you’ll see sporting these very styles next spring.
