Drift (cool Belgium branding-cum-experience agency) developed the idea as part of Biennale Interieur (a showcase of contemporary design) which saw the transformation of a former school, earmarked for demolition, into a 10 day hotel complete with suites designed by invited brands such as Artifort, Espoo and even…erm…Ikea!
“Our rationale was creating affordable sleeping space for designers and design lovers,” studio co-founder Bert Pieters told Dezeen Magazine.
