Guayaba Inn The sculptures might be relics, but the tech is on point. In case you need a computer - the one in the reception is perfect.

Guayaba Inn Four poster bed and a great mattress makes for a fab night's sleep. I loved the mix of modern touches in a traditional décor. The balcony made for the perfect morning coffee spot.

Highs & Lows

  • The hotel with it’s small, but lush gardens give a great indoor/outdoor vibe. Each room has a patio or balcony that give a sense of both openness and intimacy.

  • The rooms are a well designed mix of traditional (four poster beds) and modern (high ceilings, wood floors, well appointed bathrooms) that feel spacious, classy and polished yet warm and cozy at the same time.

  • The fireplaces and balconies or patios in each room are perfect for San Cristobal, which is 7000 feet up and surrounded by mountains.

  • Service is attentive and personal. When you need something the person at reception will do their best to make it happen and within a day you’ll know all the staff.

  • Breakfast is included and is delicious. Since there are only six rooms, meals tend to be cooked on demand and are fresh and can be customized.

  • It’s a small property. If you are looking for the conveniences of a larger place - gym, 24 hour room service or spaces to work - this isn’t the spot.

Important Bits

  • Type

    Super chic & cozy B&B.

San Cristobal’s historic El Cerrillo district. A seven to ten minute walk from each of the three central cobbled pedestrian areas. Far enough to feel peaceful but a stone’s throw away from coffee shops, boutiques and restaurants.

Lovingly designed by Gabriel Suarez, owner and proprietor.

  • Health & Wellness

No pool or gym, but to unwind there is a private massage room with a sauna that you can book ahead.

  • Restaurant

A cozy room that overlooks a lush garden and an open kitchen where the chef will make you whatever’s on the menu plus a few things that aren’t.

No bar, but the staff will serve you drinks in the lobby or the garden.

  • Minibar
