Just so pretty — the snow fall, the picture perfect ice cycles, and the hotel lit up at night — it's a literal winter wonderland.

The super spacious duplex suite was much appreciated.

The coziest bed that ever was!

Exiting the hotel and waiting for the shuttle.

The perfect cure to a chilly day on the mountain.

The perfect warming bourbon cocktail.

Après ski at Cure Lounge.

What a day — unlike anything I have ever encountered and certainly one of one of the most astonishing gifts of nature,

If you engage in one activity in Whistler (besides skiing)— THIS IS IT!

The sight, the science, the nature, the wildlife, the thrill, and the gourmet lunch atop the icecap on sheepskins are simply not to be missed!

Blissed out at the Nita spa.

So vast — hard to believe this massive ice skating rink with the most breathtaking sunset is a glacier fed lake!

A cozy firepit moment before indulging in fondue.

Highs & Lows

  • The oversized suite was very appreciated as was the super cushy bedding -- pillows were extra cozy!

  • Loved CURE bar – perfect for an après ski snack and cocktail or for a casual dinner. The burger was rather exceptional. And obsessed with the chocolate fondue. Also met some lovely people – not too stuffy. Also, loved the breakfast.

  • The wellness-focused full service spa and sauna is dreamy, and Jivamukti yoga is onsite.

  • The sunset on the snowy frozen lake was absolutely beautiful especially sitting in front of the fire after a long day of skiing. And the hot coco was perfect after a day in the snow.

  • The new restaurant, while delicious, needs dimmers on the lights – far too bright and stark. Dinners and candlelight would make the world of a difference.

  • Need to take a shuttle to the creekside gondola and to main Whistler Village, but that's also the charm.

  • Books up quickly so couldn't stay our entire trip.

Important Bits

  • Type

Luxury Chalet Style Lodge Nita Lake Lodge, although not in the main village, is a little slice of heaven in the Creekside Village, and on the most breathtaking glacier-fed lake that is vast and serene. It is a 4-star hotel with ample amenities and oversized suites with fireplaces overlooking that lake. For those worried about not being in the main village, no need to fret. Creekside has its own gondola so you are still slope-side, and Nita offers a shuttle every 15 minutes to take you to the main village.

  • Vibe

Cozy ski lodge…intimate yet offering upscale amenities. Oversized suites looking over the lake.

  • Location

The hotel is located in Creekside village which has its own gondola and just five minutes to Whistler village. The property sits on a stunning glacier-fed lake.

  • Rooms

    75

  • Music

At Cure Bar, a medley of 90’s music.

  • Year Opened

    Celebrating 10 years in February.

  • Pool/Gym

Full service Spa and Jivamukti Yoga on property. And a gym.

  • Restaurant

Newly renovated Aura restaurant, opened the week we arrived. Modern design, open kitchen, varied local and seasonal focused menu. Great breakfast buffet before hitting the slopes.

  • Bar

Amazing bar, Cure lounge and patio -- perfect for après ski with a great cocktail program.

  • Minibar

Yes, minimal but sufficient. Nice coffee station for the am!

  • Children

Definitely bring them – family focused.

  • Price

Definitely upscale, but a two bedroom lakeside suite was reasonably priced as compared to larger 4 stars hotel chains on the mountain.

Not to be missed! Experience Oso’s stylish yet super intimate space and authentic Spanish tapas. Sit at the bar to see Chef Jorge Muñoz Santos in action as he creates the tastiest dishes in the teeniest behind-the-bar kitchen. Hands down the best cocktail I have ever sipped is the Oso Sour, a maple bacon bourbon sour, by bar manager Jason Redmond. Also, promise me you will get the wild scallop crudo, an award-winning dish Chef Jorge whipped up for the San Pellegrino Young Chef competition.
