Highs & Lows

  • Attention to detail – every room had a different wallpaper and luxurious fabrics, vintage light switches, carefully chosen lamps and comfortable furnishings.

  • We loved the juxtaposition of contemporary art (one of the dining rooms is called the ‘Tracey Emin Room’) with traditional ‘pub’ art and pub vibe.

  • Open hearth dining room, home-smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, friendly and attentive staff all come together to make this a really warm and welcoming country retreat.

  • Our room overlooked the roof terrace, which we can imagine could be quite noisy and disruptive in the summer months.
