Highs & Lows

  • Art. I felt like I was staying in one of light artist James Turrell’s works come alive. Magical and one-off.

  • Relaxed. Despite Viceroy apparently being the second-most Instagrammed hotel in the world, it wasn’t over-run by people shoving you out of the way for the perfect selfie.

  • Food. The dining at Nido and Cielomar was some of the best I had in Los Cabos.

  • Alexa. I loved the chance to experiment with Alexa in my room. Especially in the balcony spa or bathtub when wanting a change of playlist!

  • All in-room water came from plastic water bottles yet most earth-aware travellers will have their own refillable bottles. The foyer or bar needs a self-serve re-fill zone, however “non luxury” that may appear.
