  • 1. What’s your perfect carry on or piece of luggage?

An old vintage LV Duffle bag... my signature piece of carry on, which I had pimped by a very talented and crazy painter friend of mine, Pelucas (@Pelucaspilasbubbles ).

  • 2. What’s your go-to travel uniform?

My daily and travel uniform consists of one of my BRIGHT COLORED NEW BALANCE SNEAKERS and one of my art scarvesART SCARVES. I never leave home without one these days!

  • 3. Can’t travel without:

My blankie. A beat-up patchwork quilt I’ve had since I was a baby. Still haven’t kicked the attachment and don’t really plan on it either. On the more grown up side, I never leave home without a flask or mini bottle of GREM & BOLT MEZCAL. I consider it medicine.

  • 4. Oddest thing I’ve ever packed:

Five years ago I stumbled upon a great vintage store in a farm town outside Nashville, and found a magical graveyard of old letters from signs. All shapes and sizes, I went all out and started what has turned into a pretty extensive collection of vintage letters. I filled 2 extra long duffle bags with these letters, and traveled from Nashville to London. Many of these letters are used in the installation “Honor the Space Between No Longer and Not Yet,” in my current solo show in Berlin at Circle Culture Gallery.

  • 5. Favorite thing to nick from the hotel room:

I must admit, I do collect bathmats from various hotels in the world.
