Pre-Arrival & Arrival Experience
They were very accommodating when I mentioned that my flight arrived at 5 am — someone was there to let me in and show me to my room. Later, I found out that no staff stays at the hotel overnight, only the guests. To arrive, you wind all the way up the cobbled streets on Santa Teresa to find what looks like a home with no hotel sign on the door. You enter into an unused beautiful garage with a glass elevator that climbs up the mountain to the house

The most beautiful outdoor pool that I was unable to use due to the cold weather. The hotel is like a quiet retreat, with three lounge areas for guests to enjoy

Breakfast is served from 8 - 10 am and all guests sit together, which was cute. One guest had just played Rock in Rio — a music festival — the week before, another couple were visiting from Seattle. There is no room service or food kept in the hotel. They have an honesty system for water and beers in the fridge. I found out on my last day that all guests can use the kitchen to cook, which is cool
