How did you get here, and what’s the best thing about your neighborhood?
I dreamed of living in New York for as long as I can remember. I was into film from a young age, and it just got to the point that the pull of steamy manholes became undeniable. The best thing about my area is Herbert Von King Park. I like to drink wine there all day long and listen to music on a lil speaker. I like how it’s a 45-minute walk in any direction to get a good bottle of wine.

Favorite Brooklyn story?
It’s honestly too hard to choose my favorite neighborhood story. All I can say is that this storied neighborhood took on a whole new significance for me during the pandemic. The sort of mutual spiritual aid I’ve witnessed over the past few years has helped me maintain hope for the future and then some.

Favorite spots?
I generally get just outside my direct neighborhood when eating or drinking but some good things that are close by are coffee and pastries at Corto and Le Paris Dakar, the restaurant Chef Katsu, wine shopping at Leon & Son, Thirst, and Henry’s Wine, art at Blank Forms, and drinks at Bar Goto Niban and Bar Laika
