WHY WE WANT TO BOOK IT: At Michelberger Farm, checking in means leaving your shoes at the door and slipping into, well, slippers. An hour outside of Berlin in the Spreewald, the welcoming stay is run by Tom and Nadine Michelberger (of Berlin’s beloved Michelberger Hotel, which we reviewed here).Families can book a “Hideout,” the farm’s own pick for those with little ones. The private two-story garden apartment sleeps four, and comes with a kitchen, fireplace, and terrace.
