Highs & Lows
-
Michelberger is the epitome of what it takes to have a "cool" hotel, with its dynamic cultural programming, innovative food concepts, awesome merch, and a soundtrack that keeps you in the groove
-
The team is passionate about providing a wholesome culinary experience to its guests, from organic, biodynamic, and sustainable products from Michelberger's farm and a network of local producers that share similar values — the food was delicious and flavorsome
-
For history buffs, the building — like most things in Berlin — had multiple reincarnations, a factory space in inception, the building was partially destroyed during World War II, restored in the 50s and 60s, then the GDR fitted the building to house administrative offices, then became vacant post-reunification until it became Michelberger
-
The hotel has two bedding systems. On the first to third floor, mattresses are made of sustainable fibers — from eucalyptus wood. On the fourth floor, a customized sleep experience is on offer from Nottinblú. I don't fully understand how the mattress responds to your movements. I tried it and love it
-
I only wish there was a gym with weights and machines. This said, there is a yoga studio with regular class schedules
