Especially if it is a carbon neutral property with Greenfleet offsetting, meaning all carbon emissions are compensated for by funding native reforestation projects. All materials are recycled where possible and they are constantly exploring ways to improve on this.
A closer look to the most special jungle stay. They donate $50 per guest stay to the Morris Family Foundation Reef Keepers Fund, supporting projects that protect and preserve the Great Barrier Reef.

A bathtub nestled high in the rainforest canopy. A biocycle waste water treatment plant that allows 100% of the water to be recycled and used for irrigation and watering.
The Julaymba Restaurant. They minimise the use of single-use plastics and packaging throughout the property, kitchen, restaurant and rooms. The removal of single use in-room personal products to reduce excess plastic waste.
The on-site herb and veggie patch which provides their chefs with a constant supply of fresh produce for guest meals, and all organic waste from the kitchen is composted or fed to local livestock.
Daintree Eco Lodge plants trees. Their partnership with Rainforest Rescue allows them to assist in the reforestation of areas of the Daintree Rainforest that have been impacted by human development.

They provide stainless steel water bottles and ceramic keep cups as an environmentally friendly alternative for plastic water ¬bottles and takeaway cups, and they support the anti-straw movement to help clean up our oceans. Paper straws are available upon request

The exceptional spa treatments at the onsite Daintree Wellness Spa. The local Kuku Yalanji people have named the land on which the Daintree Ecolodge sits ‘Wawu-karrba’ which means ‘healing of the spirit.’ With approval from the local Indigenous tribe elders, each spa treatment combines the wisdom of their culture, healing, medicines and spirituality. A very nourishing and powerful experience.

The Julaymba Restaurant menu is perfect for a 2-3 night stay. Any longer than that though and you might get a little bored with the options (the pub in the Daintree Village does dinner though so that’s always a good option if you are wanting to mix things up a little).
