Highs & Lows

  • The setting. It would be hard to beat Gwinganna's outrageously beautiful Australian bushland surrounds, with ocean and valley views. Perfectly beautiful, quiet and calm.

  • The food. Healthy, wholesome and nutritious. Each and every meal is both interesting and delicious.

  • The spa. Stunning design and an incredible selection of treatments on offer. We recommend the Tribal Dreaming ritual.

  • Sunrise nature walks with John, resident botanist and social ecologist. An incredibly knowledgable, passionate and eccentric force on all things nature and mother earth.

  • The older accommodation, while completely fine, is a wee-bit dated. We recommend booking one of the newer villas.

Important Bits

  • Type

    Wellness destination.

  • Vibe

City slicker types searching for a slower, healthier pace amongst spectacular Australian nature and wilderness.

  • Location

Deep in the Australian bush - blissfully off the grid.

  • Rooms

If budget allows, I would recommend the new Boorabee Villas, or the Moonarie Villas. Each offering specatacular ocean/valley views, your own private plunge pool, and use of your own golf buggy for the duration of your stay.

  • Music

Played in certain spa treatments, dance classes, etc.

  • Year Opened

    2006

  • Designed By

    Australian, Tony de Leede.

  • Health & Wellness

    Yes

  • Restaurant

Yes...the S.L.O.W (Seasonal - Local - Organic - Whole) food in the restaurant here is definitely one of the highlights.

  • Bar

Um, no. If you are lucky though, 100ml of organic wine might be served with dinner on the 2-day weekend retreat. Every other retreat is alcohol-free.

  • Minibar

    No

  • Children

No. Lots of older mother/daughter combos though.

  • Price

Not cheap, but worth it (your health is an investment, right?).
