Highs & Lows

  • The beds are a dream and absolutely huge. We had to tear ourselves out of it.

  • The hammam spa is one of the best treatments I've had in recent years.

  • The rugs, roses, and hand painted detail give it a sense of organic luxury and warmth.

  • They are a new hotel so service is on the slow side. Don’t order in a rush.

  • Food options aren’t vast...mini bar is limited.

Important Bits

  • Type

    Luxury Hotel

  • Vibe

Princess Jasmine meets monied older gent.

  • Location

A bumpy trek from the centre of Marrakech, giving it a serene escape vibe without feeling trapped in a sanitized resort.

  • Rooms

    161

  • Music

I’m going to say Arabic House...but I think that might have been the soundtrack to my mind.

  • Year Opened

    2013

  • Designed By

    American architect Stuart Church.

  • Health & Wellness

Yes, plus a great spa and yoga classes, and an incredible hammam which I cannot recommend more.

  • Restaurant

    Yes.

  • Bar

Yes, in fact they have their own club. It's a bit "Muriel's Wedding" but that was actually a bonus for me.

  • Children

It's a very relaxed hotel and I feel older children would enjoy the pool - but it's very romantic, so maybe send them to summer camp.

  • Price

You need to spend like a sultan, not a servant.
