While you might leave the city’s chaos behind on vacation, staying at Cambridge Beaches in Bermuda will bring you its spirited (pun intended) essence in island-appropriate outfitting. Brooklyn’s celebrated cocktail bar, Sunken Harbor Club, is one of the resort’s many perks, which includes everything from private beaches and coves to bespoke furniture and art.

Founded by award-winning writer, bartender, and restaurateur St. John Frizell, the original bar is known for its inventive cocktails that have kept the borough buzzing. Now as a part of Cambridge Beaches’ reimagined renewal in time to celebrate its 100th birthday, the club’s Bermuda chapter sits dockside. Like a tavern meets tropical cocktail bar that oozes sophistication, it brings a unique dining experience. Highlighting the island’s cuisine with Caribbean and Portuguese influences and featuring Bermudian recipes that have been passed down for generations, the menu includes Bermuda shark hash, homemade callaloo pasta, and cedar smoked plantain stuffed wild boar loin.

With beautiful views — think uninterrupted expanse of ocean with a boat-dotted harbor — and a side of fresh and fun everything, the Sunken Harbor Club’s vacation iteration is open to hotel guests and locals, making it the island’s unmissable watering hole.
