The third stop in French Polynesia on my honeymoon!
Late March 2013
Me and my new husband Lee
Lee diving into the water from our bungalow.
View from the plane!
No words or photos can describe how beautiful it is.
Bungalows are designed so that although you
have neighbors you still feel private.
Plenty of room for sun and plenty of room for shade.
Your private jacuzzi with doors that open to the sea.
The pool at sunset.
Anything involving fruit is beautiful and fresh.
The private lagoon is a mini ecosystem
with a fair amount of life in it.
Raw Tuna marinated in coconut milk.
I might miss this more than the view.
The little bit of time you would spend
poolside is still beautiful and quiet.
The spa. Amazing view for both men and women (separated).
Don’t plan on being in a hurry to leave.
Quiet and beautiful white sand beach.
Low carbon footprint Bikram yoga if that’s what you're into.
If heaven has rooms they must be overwater bungalows.
Highs + Lows
The service is unparalleled. Whatever you want or need will be delivered to your room before you even realize it happened. For example, If you walk to a restaurant, you’re handed a cold cloth infused with the tiare flower scent before you even realize you got warm walking in the sun!
Usually I will get used to a view after a couple days, no matter how great it is. 5 days in I was still pinching myself, not believing that a place so beautiful actually existed on this earth. And the architecture of the actual bungalows adds to this experience.
Jumping off the private deck on our bungalow into the lagoon. We did this for hours every day. Never gets old.
I racked my brain, and the only real low was the fact that we had to leave.
Expensive but worth it.
Property is pretty large so you will do a bit of walking in the heat. (golf cart rides are easily available we just chose to walk most of the time.)

Truly magical, otherworldly and subtly luxurious and relaxed.
Overwater bungalows attached to a reef facing a lagoon and mountain. Near nothing else.
About 100 Overwater Bungalows and 7 Beachfront Villas
Only in the restaurants. Mellow, refined, relaxing…barely noticed it.

Yes. Pools, amazing spa, nicest I've ever seen. Gorgeous gym overlooks the ocean. Yoga classes are available.
Four different restaurants, each a different style, although best option is the room service! The food is amazing. All the fish dishes are locally inspired and super fresh.
Yes, on the water under a thatched roof for maximum sunset viewing and lagoon watching.
Equally good for bringing children or for a romantic getaway.
Expensive Luxury, but wow is it worth every French Pacific Franc!
