Highs & Lows

  • The room is spacious with excellent mid-century modern design, thoughtful amenities, and a great bathroom. The suites also have a washing machine which is a nice touch

  • The multiple choice of social spaces to eat and drink means it’s super easy to host friends and associates at the hotel

  • The location is fantastic — an easy walking distance to great spots

  • There isn't a doorman to help you catch cabs. The main lobby is located on an upper floor

  • The room service menu was limited after a certain time, and when you’re suffering jet lag, this is a problem!

The Aoyama Grand Hotel So much space and light. We all need that!

Important Bits

  • Type

    Lifestyle Hotel

  • Vibe

A perfect balance of character and efficiency in design

  • Location

In the shopping central and well-connected to the rest of the city

  • Rooms

    93

  • Pre-Arrival & Arrival Experience

Our business partners booked the room for us, and our arrival was seamless. Very welcoming and efficient, just the way I like it. They also happily showed us other rooms that were available in case we wanted to switch

  • Future Forward

Very ecologically driven, minimal plastic waste, and excellent non-toxic amenities

  • Music

It’s a modern music vibe — they switch it up depending on the time of day. Breakfast was relaxing, and the evening was a more upbeat but not clubby sounding

  • Year Opened

    2020

  • Designed By

    Tokyo-based Aoyama Nomura Design (A.N.D.)

  • Health & Wellness

Not much in terms of a spa. But they do have a fitness room

  • Food

Like everywhere in Tokyo, the food is very good. The Aoyama Grand Hotel has four restaurant options — seasonal Japanese, Italian, and sushi. The main restaurant is just off the lobby, with outdoor balcony seating, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But the room service menu is quite sparse. We hope they add more to the menu

  • Bar, Events & Nightlife

There is a hidden high-end sushi bar, a Japanese countertop restaurant, and a beautiful rooftop restaurant and indoor/outdoor bar with incredible views. All really well designed with a great vibe

  • Minibar & Retail

The mini bar is excellent. It is not only well-curated with great options but get this, It’s ALL FREE!
