"If you could sum up Belfast in one place, it would be Bullitt"

AT A GLANCE: Set in the city center at the edge of the Cathedral Quarter and the main shopping districts. The Bullitt Hotel is a city hotel that reflects the essence of Belfast — it’s friendly, offers excellent food, and well-curated musical soundtrack. This hotel is perfect for the solo traveler or the digital nomad, whether staying for long or with a four-legged friend, but what warms our hearts is the hotel’s commitment to the future-forward approach to the environment and the hotel’s efforts to bring more cultural diversity to the city.

Highs & Lows

  • The vibe of the hotel. If you want to experience the true essence of Belfast — its friendly, great quality food, everything is really well considered

  • The music policy of the hotel. You won’t find a hotel so dedicated to all music scenes and genres. As a music fan, I loved it

  • The people, in true Belfast style — you will enjoy hanging out at the hotel if you are solo or in a group

  • I would have loved more well-being options at the hotel

  • Some more Belfast culture in the rooms. Be good to read about the music scene in Belfast in books or magazines

Important Bits

  • Type

    Lifestyle Hotel

  • Vibe

If you could sum up Belfast in one place, it would be Bullitt… It's got that warm personality with a bit of swag and grit that is the city's signature. Service was just right, and a curated set of musical and gastro experiences made my stay

  • Location

Smack bang in the middle of Belfast City Center

  • Rooms

    74 rooms

  • Pre-Arrival & Arrival Experience

Belfast is one of the friendliest cities you will visit, So all communication with the hotel in advance set me up for all that — the staff is so genuinely friendly that I overstayed my welcome at the desk when I arrived. Just some good old banter, as we say. The best way to set off to your room

  • Future Forward

Definitely, a place that's looking forward to bringing more cultural diversity to the city. They also use compostable cutlery and cups and 100% bio-degradable straws. They have wall-mounted refillable shampoo and shower gels in hotel rooms and bathrooms — with the aim of going completely plastic-free by 2024. They send leftover food across the property to an anaerobic treatment plant, which is converted into energy. The Bullitt also follows an extensive green policy in compliance with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals

  • Music

One of the main reasons I loved being there was its music curation. Belfast is known for its musical icons, from Van Morrison to Snow Patrol. Bullit has it down. Their Vinyl sessions are an eclectic musical journey through decades of “wax.” Reggae to rockabilly, indie classics to Northern Soul, and everything in between. The night I was there was a Berlin electro vibe

  • Year Opened

    2016

  • Designed By

John Busteed and Leandra Gil. John of ADO — a Belfast based architecture and design firm

  • Health & Wellness

Unapologetically hearty over healthy, I would say… If you choose healthily, jump on one of the Bullitt Bikes around the city or go visit the spa at the neighboring sister Hotel Merchant, just down the road

  • Food

At the heart of the main restaurant, Taylor & Clay, lies a bespoke Asador grill that cooks prime cuts of meat, seafood, and vegetables. Hearty, fresh, local, and delicious. Don’t miss the Monkfish skewers!

  • Bar, Events & Nightlife

The hidden cocktail bar, Rattlebag, at the back of the hotel was a highlight. It is right up there with the best cocktail bars you will find anywhere…. They seriously know their stuff. I chose the Sour Shortcross Irish poitín, amaro montenegro, drambuie, lemon, bitters. A few of the Sours and you will be singing some Belfast songs very quickly, which I ended up doing with some old friends there. They also have two other bars, including Baltic, Northern Ireland’s first ski-themed bar

  • Minibar & Retail

Smeg Fridge with a stacked minibar is a treat

  • Accessibility

The entire hotel is accessible for wheelchair users

  • Pet Friendly

To book a dog-friendly room, select your date as usual and choose the ‘Dog Den’ room option in our booking engine. Only pooches under 30lbs are allowed, and only one pooch per stay

  • Children

    Yes

  • Price

    Pricing at a reasonable £150 – £300 per night
