"An artsy and vibrant playground for the city's creatives"

AT A GLANCE: Located in Montparnasse, at a convenient distance from Paris’ classics, The Drawing House celebrates creative expression on all fronts. The hotel invited seven contemporary illustrative artists to draw murals in every room and hallway, which makes it seem like you are living in an immersive sketchbook. Colorful and tastefully eclectic, there is never a dull moment from the time you step into the stylish lobby to the fresh breakfast spread. Newly open and locally run, the hotel is pet and family-friendly and ideal for a solo or romantic sojourn. Swipe the images below to discover.

Highs & Lows

  • I loved the pool and the gym! The pool mural was gorgeous and you really feel transported

  • The art focus of The Drawing House. The hotel features seven contemporary illustrative artists who were given carte blanche to create original artwork in the form of murals above the bed in every room, and in the hallway walls, into a canvas for their art. The art is immersive throughout the entire hotel — from the rugs to the wallpaper, and even the light fixtures

  • The dining area has an incredible breakfast and is a great area to post up for work

  • The hotel is in a slightly industrial part of Paris, and first-time visitors may miss the romance of the grey zinc roofs and traditional Parisian views, but rest assured that just a 10-minute or less walk gets you right in the center of one of the most traditional and romantic neighborhoods of Paris
