Como Uma Ubud
Como Uma Ubud This gorgeous overgrown pathway lead to my villa. Hindu religion moves me so much that this mini temple outside my room made me feel very safe.

Como Uma Ubud The garden has some old trees and beautiful statue of Ganesh. It’s so lush and overgrown at times.

Como Uma Ubud I arrived during some serious tropical rain. Remember kids, keep your plans open if it’s wet season. The hotel offers a complimentary walk in the rice terraces in the mornings which I unfortunately missed out on due to the downpour.

Como Uma Ubud The second yoga pavilion has jaw dropping views. It hangs over the rainforest and you can lose yourself watching it. This is where Tarzan lives right?

Como Uma Ubud The stunning restaurant with a pond serving delicious breakfast buffet. I had a bubur ikan, which is a savoury Indonesian porridge with fish, chili and spices. There is a selection of western food too of course.

Como Uma Ubud I didn’t mind the rain. Lounging on the terrace was so relaxing I couldn’t be anything but grateful. Pardon my zen.

Como Uma Ubud I had to show this off. How stunning is this bathroom in the restaurant? I’ll move to Indonesia just for the plants growing on the walls.

Como Uma Ubud The design in the lobby, spa and other common spaces is clean, airy with organic materials.

Highs & Lows

  • Como Uma Ubud is all about experiences and activities. There are complimentary yoga classes daily and morning walks in the rice terraces. Or else you get a calendar of daily activities to book. Things like, hiking, visiting temples, seeing traditional dances, private Hindu prayer ceremonies, rafting etc.

  • There is a stunning spa on the premises using Como products, if you feel like pampering after rafting.

  • You can really detox here. Part of the menu consists of raw food for a good cleanse.

  • My room had two showers, one inside and one outside in a stunning private garden full of plants.

  • I didn’t get to partake in any activities outside of the hotel due to an unfortunate downpour during my entire stay. But nonetheless, I had an incredible time.
