Before returning home: breakfast pit-stop in Phoenicia, one of my favorite towns in the Catskills. The Phoenicia Diner is a real gem.

Exterior of Deer Mountain Inn.

The lobby.

One of the six bedrooms in the main inn.

Upper level of the Inn, open to all guests. Great vibe and welcoming to all. Read a book by the fireplace, play a board game, watch a movie, listen to music or play pool. It’s an entire floor so there’s tons of space and very inviting.

Sunset for our private dinner.

Mr. Darren, one of the most knowledgeable and welcoming barmen I’ve ever met.

Details from the incredible bar.

Cozy by the fireplace in the lobby.

Private mountain drive on property.

Nothing beats Catskill Mountain fresh air. My partner in crime, Erika, taking it in.

Abbey and Erika cozy on the top of the dmi mountain at dusk.

Our friends fireside on the top of the mountain for drinks before dinner.

The Inn helped arrange a sunset group gathering for us on top of the private property before dinner. Blankets, cocktails and s’mores included.

Our extended weekend crew.

Because sparklers are always a good idea.

Early morning view from my room. Love this private balcony in the Cottage.
