Highs & Lows

  • The multiple dry saunas! Find the one outdoors with the cold plunge

  • Morning juice bar where you get to make your own

  • The views from the restaurant! Pictures don't do it justice

  • The modern yet soft design throughout. I was especially in love with their bathroom design

  • Forestis' service and attention to detail

  • The hikes nearby

  • Excellent sustainable amenities in the bathroom

  • Figuring out how to keep the right temperature in the room at night was tricky

  • The dry and wet saunas begin at 10 am. For those early risers, it's a little disappointing

Forestis overlooks the Dolomites and is nearby the tiny village of Palmschoss. The property offers lots of hiking in spring and summer, and there's also ski-in and ski-out in winter. From the States, it's a journey to get there, but worth it. From Milan, it takes two trains and three hours to Brixen. Getting there from Innsbruck, Austria, is easier.
