Highs & Lows

  • The Glenmere Mansion has the look and feel of an Italian countryside escape without the 6+ hour flight…more like a 45 minute car ride!

  • The impeccable design…owners Alan Stenberg and Daniel DeSimone are world travelers and took all of their carefully logged notes from years of adventures to make sure that every detail has been looked after.

  • Set against rolling hills and a lake in the distance the tranquility of the grounds really forces you to stop and take a deep breath. Ahhhh.

  • The only low was leaving this little slice of heaven for the smelly NYC...

Important Bits

  • Type

    Luxury Estate

  • Vibe

The kind of place you could move into and call home...a few nights just aren't enough.

  • Location

Located just 45 minutes outside of the city, Glenmere makes for a quick and easy weekend getaway.

  • Rooms

    18 guestrooms

  • Music

A baby grand piano sets the tone for happy hour in the stately sitting room just outside Supper Room.

  • Year Opened

The estate was originally built in 1911 as a 31 room country home and in 2007 underwent a full renovation + restoration, converting the property into a hotel.

  • Designed By

Interior Designer Scott Snyder converted this regal estate into a chic upstate getaway in 2007.

  • Health & Wellness

The pool is the perfect place to idle away a Saturday afternoon with a book...perfectly tranquil. I can't speak to the gym - this was vacation, after all.

  • Restaurant

Two restaurants...the fancier Supper Room serves a prix fixe dinner set in a dining room fit for royalty. Frogs End offers a more casual tavern-like vibe.

  • Bar

From the handsome library to the scenic terrace, there are many places scattered throughout the property to enjoy a cocktail.

  • Minibar

No minibar, but the room comes stocked with fresh baked treats. Sodas and snacks are put out in the afternoon, free of charge.

  • Children

Maybe not the best spot for the kiddos...

  • Price

    Pricey...but worth every penny.
