Highs & Lows
-
It’s a majorly eco-friendly hotel, and it’s often featured in Seoul’s Michelin guide. Even the bath products, made by “STOP THE WATER WHILE USING ME!” are eco-friendly.
-
Their restaurant, Hot Eatsue, is fantastic. I loved the breakfast, with included healthy breakfast-y options with a twist. Also, a major plus: Pho for breakfast! You can choose what you want in your Pho, and the chefs make it for you right then and there. Oh, and no walls, just floor-to-ceiling windows, showcasing those stunning Seoul views.
-
The super stylish rooftop bar (order gin cocktails) and its wrap-around terrace. Again, the views!! Truly breathtaking -- I made sure to be there for sunset.
-
Many rooms are dog friendly! And even the dog beds are made from recycled parts, fabrics, etc.
-
The beds, made by Korea’s #1 bed manufacturer, ACE, are sublimely perfect.
-
Nice, inexpensive rooms.
-
Amazing lobby (massive, and designed in a minimal, earthy manner) replete with a cute cafe serving perfect caffeinated drinks and bites.
-
My room was tiny. Which was fine for me, because I spent the majority of my time hitting the shiny Seoul streets. And sleeping in the supremely comfy bed.
-
Gangnam is not my favorite part of town. But there’s plastic surgery clinics and walk-in Botox spots everywhere, so, if that’s your thing, you’ll love it.

Restaurant
Fab restaurant Hot Eatsue on the 17th floor which comes with STUNNING VIEWS. The yummy menu is mostly Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese-focused, with some Korean dishes as well. There’s also CAFFE CAPPUCCINO in the sun-drenched, plant-filled lobby, which attracts a hip crowd who type away on their laptops at the massive wooden communal table
-
