The exterior view from South Congress Avenue.

Alice in Wonderland hedges surround the hotel.

Dotmo bathing in the serene courtyard that gives off a Western Hacienda vibe with sleek, modern influences.

Swanky rooms with concrete floors and cowhide rugs.

Enjoying some local brew by Austin’s Cuvée coffee in
the garden courtyard.

Blues skies rolling across the San Jose.

Polished concrete floors, handmade furniture, and sweet custom sheets make up each room.

Jo’s coffee spot located in the parking lot serving up delicious pastries!

Welcome to Hotel San Jose.

Highs & Lows

  • A hipster’s comfort zone with complimentary rentals such as a music library, Polaroid cameras and TOMS shoes in the room.

  • The heated pool came in handy since it was freezing in Austin at the time and although the pool supposedly closes at “10pm,” we managed to take a dip after midnight.

  • Malin + Goetz products in the bathroom; shame they were bolted in though.

  • Closely located to plenty of food trucks and a great seafood + oyster bar, Perla’s!

  • Our suite was a tad noisy – granted we were right next to the pool so no complaints, but we did hear old mate next door snoring away.

  • Room service is only available for breakfast so don’t sleep in, otherwise you’ll only have the corn.
