Highs & Lows

  • Outstandingly knowledgeable tour guides. Most are local to Tambopata or Iquitos region, and a lot of their knowledge has been passed on from previous generations.

  • Food is great, definitely order the gazpacho for lunch.

  • Rustic and eco-friendly with the right amount of luxury in the simple details, like the amazingly soft bedsheets!

  • Wake up in the morning with the most amazing symphony of tropical birds. You will be glad to be waking up so early.

  • The excursions the hotel offers are really mind blowing. They encourage you to keep a curious eye and adventurous spirit.

  • The hotel offers reusable stainless steel water bottles, as well as bathrobes and natural insect repellent.

  • The staff is extremely nice, everyone makes you feel peaceful and at ease.

  • No wifi or cellphone connection. I actually really appreciated this as it made for a fully present vacation.
