Highs & Lows

  • The location is what gives this hotel something special, and is what would bring me back here again. The beach has beautiful water and is pretty small, and doesn't feel overcrowded.

  • As well as yoga classes, Helen offers absolutely wonderful massages. A Brit who has lived in Australia for 25 years, she is a spiritual force to be reckoned with and a wonderful woman!

  • The staff are very friendly!

  • There are fans in the room, but no air conditioning.

  • The hotel only opened last year, so it feels like it is still finding its feet on a few things.

Important Bits

    Guest house / small hotel.

  • Vibe

    Relaxed beach house.

5 minute walk from the best beach in Sri Lanka, Hiriyetika.

  • Rooms

    12

  • Music

    None that I can recall!

  • Year Opened

    2016!

Lauri Rose, the owner of the hotel.

  • Health & Wellness

Lovely pool. No gym, but the on site yoga instructor and massage therapist, Helen, was one of the best things about the Jasper House.

  • Restaurant

Yes, a big open plan room on the top floor with views of the sea. Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day. The food is very relaxed, as it always is in Sir Lanka!

  • Bar

Not technically, but the restaurant is very lowkey with comfy sofas so it doubles as a bar.

  • Minibar

No minibar, but getting a beer from upstairs and drinking on your balcony is always nice.

  • Children

Bring them, but I'd ask for a room that doesn't have one of the 'open' walls.

  • Price

    Rooms start from £100.
