The intimate and charming lobby. On the shelves to the left you can see their perfectly curated retail space where I purchased a candle!
The rooftop restaurant is a huge amenity to the property. I mean, look at this view !?!
We had the most charming room, and the decor and interior design throughout the property is absolutely stunning. Purely pristine
One major highlight of our stay was the sunset picnic package we ordered! The hotel packed us all the essentials and sent us off in a Mini Cooper
Not only does the restaurant offer spectacular views, but to top it all off, the food is DELICIOUS. We particularly loved this iconic cheese board
Morning coffee delivery. Nothing better. Also, peep the little card underneath the coffee which has today's weather and surf conditions
The cutest vintage car that's parked in their parking lot at all times, because...iconic
I mean, my face says it all. Love it here.
I usually do not sleep that well during the first night at a hotel but I cannot say the same for here. The bed and linens were *chefs kiss*
It's details like this that can either make or break a property. I can truly say that Surfrider has gone above and beyond to do sweet, meaningful gestures for their guests

Service service service. With only 20 rooms, Surfrider is the true epitome of an intimate, boutique experience. During the entire stay the staff went above and beyond to not only be on a first name basis with us, but to ensure that our stay was more than comfortable. We were blown away at how in-sync all of the staff members were and how much each and every one of them was genuinely passionate about their job.

Amenities. Even though there is no pool, gym, or spa, they make up for it through other creative forms of amenities including picnic packages, coffee delivery in the AM and cookie delivery in the PM, complimentary surfboard and wetsuit rental, complimentary Mini Cooper (yes, the car!) rental, and a well curated selection of local brands in their retail space within the lobby.

Location! Located right across from Malibu Pier and Surfrider Beach...the property is in PRIME TIME Malibu. I mean, seriously. We are talking one of the most famous piers and surfing beaches on the West Coast and they are just steps from it. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to experience Malibu.

The Rooftop offers some of the most stunning views of the California Coast that I've ever seen! And to add to it, you get to munch on a delicious meal (which is ALL organic, btw) and sip a crafted cocktail (which is farm-to-glass botanical inspired with liquors from small batch distilleries) while taking it all in.

With only 20 rooms available, the hotel books up fast. So, run, don't walk to book your stay!! The only major low is that we could not stay forever

No single use plastic in sight! Their chef also uses every part of a plant so that nothing goes to waste. During the COVID lockdown when they were using more paper goods than usual due to disposable container rules, they planted a tree for every guest stay! They also won Surfrider Foundations Sustainable Restaurant award. So impressive

We loved the rooftop restaurant and ate every meal there! Not to mention, EVERYTHING on the menu is organic and local. They plant and harvest from local farms to create a California-forward menu with a little inspiration from Italy and Australia. Their Chef, Jacob, was trained under Thomas Keller. NBD.

No events due to COVID but the crafted cocktails at the bar were incredible and are farm-to-glass botanical inspired with liquors from small batch distilleries. Also, their secret Owners Reserve wine list is hand written in a leather bound diary, and consists of wines collected from the owners travels around the world!

No Minibar due to COVID, so instead they are delivering complimentary coffee to guests every morning and at night they deliver *delicious* cookies and popcorn for movie night. We also loved their curated retail experience in the lobby which consisted of several locally owned brands.

Don't have a surfboard? Don't worry, the hotel has plenty available that is free for their guests to use.
