Highs & Lows
-
Inspired, nature-led interiors that feel instantly calming. While it would be interesting to see some photography or contemporary art on the walls for a décor contrast, having live plants everywhere, from the oversized moss chandelier by the entrance to the little planters by each room’s door are just so beautiful and refreshing. Very few hotels have in-room live plants and they make such an enormous difference.

-
The in-room filtered water fountain. Hotels of the world, please follow!
-
Warm, personal and highly professional service. I truly enjoyed meeting every person from the team. They were mindful that I had a two year old in tow and made every effort to assist me so I could get work done.
-
The Japanese toilet. The ultra comfortable bed. The great textiles. The Dyson hairdryer. We felt pampered at every touch point.
-
Wellness area is intimate — book ahead or risk missing out.
-
A sauna or steam room would be a great addition to this pretty perfect, health-forward hotel.

Mayfair is glossy and money-led, but also filled with British heritage. It is beautiful, convenient and undeniably central. Around 1 Hotel Mayfair you’re in the thick of it, steps from leafy Green Park, art galleries tucked into Georgian townhouses, and streets that swing between old-school Savile Row tailoring and a new wave of restaurants and cocktail dens.
