Broadwick Soho
- Where:
- Why:An indulgent stopover mid UK tour
- When:June 2025
- Who:My first love, me
"A masterclass in consideration, curation, and all things incredibly chic"
Broadwick Soho is transportive and transformational. Here, you slip into a different skin, into the shoes of someone a touch more fabulous than before stepping through the pink front door. Interiors are lush, with signature leopard print accents that are tastefully flamboyant and suitably retro. Service is friendly but never pushy, anticipating and meeting every need. The entire affair is refined without losing its sense of wonder or welcome. Scroll through the slideshow for a closer look.
Highs & Lows
-
Though I was alone throughout my stay, I often felt I was being personally cared for by an unseen butler overseeing each thoughtful detail. Listening to the Broadwick playlist, I found myself wanting a speaker. Sure enough, a few taps on the in-room tablet, and one could be on its way up.
-
The turndown service. This is when the stay officially made it into my little book of “must-returns.” A Broadwick leopard-print bookmark was placed in my book. My chargers were coiled and secured with a (branded!) cable tie. A sample of the hotel’s signature scent, “The Dame of Soho,” sat on the bedside table.
-
The Nook. While Flute gets a lot of love—and for good reason—this was my unexpected favorite public space. A guest-only spot behind Bar Jackie, it’s warm, intimate, and hidden, yet still has that fun, funky energy the hotel buzzes with. There’s a record player, a fireplace, and plenty of couches to sink into. It’s the perfect den for a tête-à-tête, some work, or an evening of reading.
-
The design. No surprises here: the hotel is a triumphant display of creativity and good taste, layered with enough pattern and texture to keep your eyes engaged and fan a spark of imagination into a full-on fashionable inferno.
-
The closet space. While the wardrobe in my room was beautiful, and bedside tables add more storage, if you’re packing for a longer stay or traveling with a partner, it may be a bit of a squeeze to get everything stored away. Certainly not a dealbreaker, but good to know.

Pre-Arrival & Arrival Experience
Entry is set back a bit from the main road, which is nice as it's quite a busy area. I was immediately offered a cold drink upon arrival and my bags were whisked away to my room.
-
Future Forward
No single-use plastics throughout the hotel, all food is ethically and traceably sourced, and vegan options are available on every menu.
-
Music
Curated, of course! I listened to a Spotify playlist the hotel’s creative director, Andrea Gelardin, put together for Dear Jackie — it was part La Dolce Vita, part high-end clothing store, and I loved it. Upstairs at Flute, the vibe shifted: the music matched the lively atmosphere, a backdrop for animated conversations and hinting at late nights to come.

Health & Wellness
While there is no on-site pool, gym, or spa, a yoga mat is provided, and a series of short in-room workouts are on the room’s tablet. Classes, weight and cardio equipment, and saunas are available at the hotel’s gym partner, Top Notch Gym.
-
Food
Breakfast is served in Bar Jackie, a sunny café with a terrace for aperitivos. Downstairs is Dear Jackie, the hotel’s opulent Italian restaurant, and the rooftop is home to Flute, an indoor-outdoor space ideal for light bites, afternoon drinks, and catching up with friends.
-
Bar, Events & Nightlife
Flute’s bar delivers bold, gold energy, and the disco ball keeps spinning until 3 a.m. Guest DJs spin on the weekends, and timely events and parties throughout the year are sure to draw a crowd of characters. Bar Jackie downstairs has a warm, chit-chatty bar ambiance.
-
Minibar & Retail
The minibar is well-stocked with top-shelf British brands, complete, of course, with tea and biscuits. There’s plenty to drink, plus hangover cures and an espresso machine for mornings after. If you love the hotel’s signature scent, you can snag a hand-poured candle to take home here as well.
