Highs & Lows

  • Furniture is sophisticated, modern. There are lots of white linen and light woods, a soothing and serene atmosphere.

  • Great service and very attentive. They really went out of their way to help us get a boat to Capri.

  • The room had such a nice balcony with incredible views.

  • Food was really excellent (be it the lunch or brunch) and both were delivered with style.

  • Room and bathroom were both small (but well appointed).

Important Bits

  • Type

    Seasonal Boutique Hotel

  • Vibe

Like the home of a rich Miami art collector circa 1988. Think Calla lillies, grand piano, avant garde vases and lots of white linen. There is a lot of art by a local glass artist which may not be for everyone (it’s not our style) but we appreciated the gallery-like way in which they displayed it.

  • Location

Cliffside, slightly outside of Positano with spectacular panoramic views from every room. Easy access to the "city" - they even offer a complimentary shuttle and valet parking.

  • Rooms

43 in total. 39 guests rooms and suites in the main building plus 4 rooms on the beach level.

  • Music

No music except at the beach and the beach has a DJ who definitely tries to keep it hi-NRG (this is probably what Ibiza is like??)

  • Year Opened

    June 2005

  • Designed By

Interior design by Marco De Luca, renovation by Gennaro Fusco and Francesco Savarese Architects.

  • Health & Wellness

Indoor *and* outdoor pool (with a great view!), sauna, and spa with personal trainer, yoga and Pilates classes. The hotel is also steps to the ocean with tons of chic beach chairs and cocktails.

  • Restaurant

Yes, and the food is DELICIOUS!

  • Bar

Yes, a bit less “bar-like” since it’s part of a larger seating area. Probably better to just have cocktails on the patio overlooking the ocean. It’s not much in terms of a “scene” - the hotel is quiet and relaxing.

  • Minibar

Champagne, nice juice options, interesting cookies and chocolate.

  • Children

No way, there is a lot of breakable glass art and this hotel seems way too “adult” for little people.

  • Price

    $$$
