Right in the heart of Central, with top dining, drinking, shopping, and more just outside its doors. The hotel is directly connected to the upscale IFC Mall and Hong Kong Station, and steps from the Central Ferry Piers. In other words, the location is unbeatable

399 rooms in total, of which 54 are heavenly, hibernation-friendly suites

Everything was crystal clear on the hotel’s website beforehand, from room details to spa offerings, and the team even secured me an Argo reservation. On arrival, a sea of smiling bellmen opened the doors, whisked my luggage away, and guided me to check-in, which was smooth, swift, and exceedingly warm. Entering my suite, I was greeted with gifts, a thoughtful note, and tasty treats, including fresh fruit and nuts

Initiatives include composting food waste and eliminating single-use plastics with biodegradable food and beverage containers. Dining leans green too, with vegetarian and vegan menus across the property (the vegan afternoon tea is a standout, swapping butter and animal byproducts for coconut oil). Ingredients are sourced locally and sustainably—try Argo’s botanical spirit, crafted with a local distillery. Additionally, accommodations feature energy-saving controls, and the spa uses eco-conscious products

Stop by the see-and-be-seen lounge, just off the lobby’s sun-drenched atrium, where meals often come with live entertainment

The guest rooms, suites, and lobby were reimagined by Remedios Studio in 2021. AB Concept designed the Argo and lobby café Gallery, while Rocco Design Architects oversaw the building’s architecture

The wellness game here is strong. The spa sprawls across over 22,000 square feet, with 17 treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms, and vitality pools that feel more fantasy than reality. Outside, four (!) pools await: an infinity pool that seems to spill into Victoria Harbour, a lap pool, a plunge pool, and a whirlpool. The 24-hour fitness center offers state-of-the-art machines, free weights, and a rotating roster of classes

Where to start at this culinary hotspot? Three-Michelin-starred Caprice wows with ultra-glamorous French fare, while Lung King Heen earns two Michelin stars for its seafood and dim sum from Executive Chef Chan Yan Tak. For intimate omakase, there’s one-Michelin-starred Sushi Saito and two-Michelin-starred Italian omakase at Noi by Paulo Airaudo. The hotel also offers a ten-seat teppanyaki and tempura spot. Plus, casual bites in the lively lounge, at Argo, on the pool terrace, and elsewhere. I personally loved taking advantage of the slew of tasty bites in the Executive Club Lounge and calling it dinner

There’s no place like the hotel's cocktail lounge, Argo, which has secured a spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list for four consecutive years, landing at #11 in 2025. The highly Instagrammable, Art Deco-inspired space dazzles with mirrored walls, hanging terrariums, and harbor views. The true showstopper is the glittering collection of rare spirits artfully displayed above the marble bar. Add inventive cocktails and mouthwatering bites, and you’ve got a hotspot packed with beautiful people and cocktail connoisseurs on any given night

The minibar features Hong Kong goodies like jasmine tea from Yú Tea House, an Argo bottled cocktail, and snacks from local brands. For suite bookings, minibar snacks and soft drinks are complimentary (alcohol excluded, except for the Argo cocktail). The Cake & Gift Shop, located just off the lobby (and online!), tempts with gourmet gifts, decadent cakes, homemade chocolates, pastries, and more. Don’t miss their seasonal mooncakes. I might never forgive myself for missing out on trying their homemade milk tea–flavored Dubai chocolate

If you can, skip the sizzling summer and peak typhoon season. October and November are ideal for hitting the city streets, but honestly, I always have an amazing time in Hong Kong, typhoon-rain or shine
