Great Northern Hotel

The branding of the Great Northern Hotel is spot on, just enough railway throwback to give it a sense of place (Literally 10 yards from Kings Cross).

Nice little touches like the stamped luggage tag ‘Do
Not Disturb’ sign.

With a nod to a sleeper carriage from yesteryear, the rooms are modern, compact and functional.

Everything you need, nothing you don’t with great branded GNH items to take with you.

Each floor has a pantry offering tea, coffee and cake... I wish every hotel had this amenity. I loved this.

The hotel has two bars and a great restaurant called Plum + Spilt Milk, the bartenders and cocktails at this bar are excellent! And the restaurant deserves all the accolades it has received too!

A Great railwayish moment in the lobby. The design overall by Dexter Moren with interiors by Archer Humphryes is very cool, warm inviting and timeless.

The Great Northern Hotel, a stones throw from Kings Cross station, originally built in 1854, a Grade 2 listed building that almost got replaced by a Eurostar terminal in 1987, thankfully rescued and restored to represent some of the 19th Century glamour
of Railway travel.
