Eating french fries at 2 am in a bathrobe is never a bad idea.

The sculpture garden: a bit of nature in the heart of Soho.

Giant orbs of nature.

Every distinguished study should have a beagle residing over it. (is that a beagle?)

Remember analog phones? Nor do I…

Our amazing room, with a fireplace, flatscreen, and Little Women vibes.

Clearly, private garden terraces can be very funny. Did I mention we had a garden terrace? It was awesome!

Where none of the magic happened.

Our secret garden. Apparently this is where all the green space in NYC is…

The lobby. Never has a former parking lot looked so good.

Highs & Lows

  • I’m pretty sure we had the best room in the hotel, with a private rooftop terrace perfect for room-serviced mornings.

  • The staff was amazing. The concierge even made charging my iPhone feel like a regal experience.

  • The common areas are great, with a drawing room-style meeting area, an outdoor courtyard, and a massive lobby.

  • There was a flatscreen TV above the bathtub—watching the election play out has never felt so soothing.

  • The location couldn’t be better.

  • Some areas of the hotel felt overdesigned – I’m a fan of less is more, so it’s all about personal preference
