Highs & Lows

  • The breakfast is utterly delicious and Louise and Liam are happy to fill you up for the day, so feel free to try everything you’d like to on the menu. Make your choices the night before and leave your filled in card at the bottom of the stairs.

  • The bedrooms and bathrooms are really generous in size and lovely spaces to relax in, so make sure you have some down time planned to enjoy chilling out.

  • A long soak in the roll down cast iron bathtub is a must. Use the complimentary Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil and you’ll come out silky smooth and feeling like you’ve had a full body massage.

  • Liam and Louise know Margate and what it has to offer very well so ask them for advice on where to eat, drink, shop and explore.

  • The Reading Rooms is somewhere you’ll want to return to, so you’ll probably want to start planning your next visit as soon as you leave, if not before. Some of Louise and Liam’s most regular guests loved it so much they ended up buying properties in the same square.

  • Margate is totally up our alley with its mix of vintage furniture, contemporary art and good food. Though, it is pretty small and would benefit from more regeneration. If there was a little bit more to do and see, for example, we would have reason to stay longer at The Reading Rooms.
