Pretty exciting to arrive to the hotel and be faced with one of the most remarkable buildings on the Cape Town skyline! The Silo shares the epic building with Zeitz MOCAA should be on everyone's bucket list

Upon entry one is greeted with the powerful repurposed The Silo walls, a splash of textures and colors in the interior and a strong art collection

Your highness — that is how I started calling myself when sampling the treats and wines left as a welcome, snuggling into my temporary home fit for a queen

Let's have a moment about those iconic The Silo windows. All the rooms have them, unless you have a balcony, then there are sliding doors. I must admit, the windows is what initially attracted me to the hotel, and oh, they are as spectacular in real life

I have to give Best Hotel City View award to The Silo, it's just intoxicating (especially whilst drifting around on the pool pillow). Sunsets here are very sought after, if casually visiting, make sure to book ahead

The Silo has an impressive expansive art collection all over the property and in every room. All the artworks come from the African continent. I especially loved seeing one of five Pieter Hugos 'The Hyena and Other Men' hanging

The Willaston Bar is a stunner in the afternoon, those windows are a geometric fun fair and the bar menu is really a delicious affair and a lovely vibe to spend the evening

Another Poli award being given out. The bed is the best out of my 35 hotel reviews in 15 cities. The pillows were all different thickness for preference, the duvet thick and heavy, like an embrace that lulled you like a baby, perfect firmness mattress and uniquely, soft linen sheets. I adore!
