The daily stroll to the beach.

Our stunning all white bedroom off the all-white living room looked out to our terrace. Very comfy bed and lux linens, and beautiful black and white photos of local islanders.

Fresh watermelon juice and fresh fruit everyday at breakfast, but of course you could have anything, a huge amount of delicious food on offer to start the day off well.

The lounge.

Petit Piton, though the smaller of the two Pitons, looks pretty huge from our terrace and plunge pool.

The huge pool by the beach and Grand Piton.

One of the pools with rainforest views.

Beautiful Bayside Restaurant open for lunch and dinner serves great local dishes as well as pizzas from a wood-fired pizza oven.

Fresh coconuts on the beach is a must!

The spa amongst the trees.

And deliciously sweet cacao pod, also on the beach!

The stunning Sugar Beach bay; the hotel is hidden amongst the lush, natural landscaping.

Another view from the terrace and pool from our cottage.

Our gorgeous terrace with loungers, plunge pool and incredible views of the bay.

Wait for me! Ben heads off in one of the many tuk tuks at the property.

Until next time…

Highs & Lows

  • Every day we woke up and went ‘wow!’, it’s the most incredibly beautiful place and the pitons are awe-inspiring. We honestly couldn’t believe we were there!

  • Every single member of the team was brilliant, super friendly and lovely and nothing, and I mean nothing, was too much trouble. There’s a mobile phone in each room that you take around with you and call your butler anytime for anything! (ipads in each room with information on the whole hotel and daily news too)

  • Enjoy fresh coconuts and cacao pods on the beach, even get your sunglasses cleaned!

  • Your villa could be quite far from the beach and up a hill, good exercise if you fancy the walk but it’s quick and easy to get picked up and taken wherever you want to go. As much as we loved the brightly-coloured tuk tuks, I think electric-powered modes of transport for the hotel would be more environmentally friendly.

At the right side of the beach is a jetty where speed boats come and go. Hop in one for not much of a cost and visit the local town soufriere, or take a full island tour. We preferred using the boats as our taxis to head into town.

It’s just outside of Sugar Beach and serves the best authentic local food – breadfruit balls, fishcakes, fish in creole sauce – you get the idea!
