A look into the loo.
The assortment of guest goodies. Boxed Water, who knew? I’m sold.
Our closet. Note—the hanging space requires pro-packing skills.
A detail of the interiors.
Proof of the “pups welcome” rule with our dog Zelda surveying the lobby scene.
No caption necessary.
Fluorescent hallways with my little sister, Alexandra.
The seating area sandwiched between the lobby and the excellent Bolt Coffee Joint.
Every lobby should have one: The Dean’s flower mini-mart.
The entrance at night with yours truly posing.
Our lovely room. Beware of the shades when drawn, one can easily sleep in and miss the morning.
Highs + Lows
The Dean has everything you need (in one spot) to have an epic evening with friends.
Bolt Coffee serves some of the best coffee we’ve ever tasted and the owner operator, Bryan Gibb, knows all the great spots in town.
From the exceptionally curated, eclectic mix of vintage European furniture in the lobby (check out the Belgian pommel horses turned benches) to the beds and lighting, custom designed by ASH NYC, it’s hard to imagine that a hotel so stylish could be so inexpensive.
For those planning a long stay who need to feel settled in their home away from home, there is no dresser or closets…expect to live out of your bag.
Request a room on the upper floors because Boombox Karaoke Lounge can go until the wee hours of the morning.

In the heart of historic downtown Providence, Rhode Island.
There’s no need for ambient music when you can make your own at the The Boombox, Providence’s only karaoke lounge(!).
