Highs & Lows

  • Biking to the Farm completely set the tone for our stay. Feeling the crisp breeze as we biked alongside open fields and horses, made us completely present by the time we arrived at the Farm.

  • Tom and Nadine know how to host in the purest form. Leaving your shoes at the door and then joining other guests for a communal dinner really made us feel like we were the Michelberger's personal guests. This dash of emotional hospitality was everything.

  • Our Cosy room's dark painted walls made us feel wonderfully cocooned and the night sky feel infinite.

  • When the time came to say goodbye, we were comforted knowing that we'd be spending our last night of vacation at the Michelberger in Berlin, the Farm's sister property.

  • Our standards for the farm-hotel experience are now extremely high...

Pro tips of how to best get to the Farm helped a lot! We were even told to stop at a traditional folk festival that happened to be going on that day in a small town we would be biking through. We biked right up to the property and were greeted by Eva, a lovely staff member. She told us where to lock our bikes and welcomed us inside with pairs of slippers and two glasses of wine.

On vacation, a general rule is to say 'yes' to new experiences. So when Tom Michelberger told us the best way to get from Berlin to Michelberger Farm was by bike and asked if we were up for it, we said 'yes'. We took a train to Lübbenau Station and continued by bike for an hour through a bucolic melange of green and blue until arriving at Naundorf, the quaint village, home to Michelberger Farm.
