Highs & Lows

  • It's The Hotel Chelsea! Or, as some may remember it well, as the Chelsea Hotel - just like Leonard Cohen's song "Chelsea Hotel No. 2," which he wrote to his former lover Janis Joplin. This hotel's rich history will fuel your imagination as you wonder about the debauchery in this building during the last century. Some of pop culture's most prolific artists, musicians, writers, and personalities have stayed, frequented, lived, or died here: Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Bob Marley, Andy Warhol, Madonna, and Sid & Nancy, to mention a few.

  • It has character- you feel influential just by rolling in through the lobby. It's an old building that has seen a lot. Even though it is chic, cool, and modern, there is a great nostalgia. It's luxurious yet charming and cheeky. Several original tenants still live in the building, some for more than 40 years. Not as many hotels in NYC offer this experience.

  • The dining offerings at Hotel Chelsea are substantial. There are three restaurants where you can indulge in delicious cuisine and see some of the most interesting people in NYC.

  • Spa: do yourself a favor and book a massage. Hotel guests have access to a sauna and steam showers

  • As many NYC hotels, there's no parking but the front desk can assist with reserving the nearest parking garage.
