The Bank Hotel Istanbul The hotel was an Ottoman bank and is carrying that money smell all over with the collection of rich textures, colours, marble and leather. Pass me a cigar and my safe code

The Bank Hotel Istanbul I love the private banking feeling at check in and out. Online banking is cool and all, but how chic did it used to be to organise your finances!? Also love the artwork by Ardan Özmenoğlu

The Bank Hotel Istanbul I don’t know about you, but the first thing I look for in a newly arrived at hotel room, is something personal and edible. Lovely check in gifts from The Bank

The Bank Hotel Istanbul Ah yes, the ceiling I referred to earlier, propped by columns. Only appropriate to admire out of a robe

The Bank Hotel Istanbul And when in Rome! I mean Istanbul. Of course the hotel would have it’s own hammam. Nothing heals like hot marble and a Turkish mom that scrubs and washes you like a little babe

The Bank Hotel Istanbul The Turkish breakfast! Oh man oh man, move over Aussies, this is a serious breakfast rival for you. Insider tip, kaymak and honeycomb honey on simit bread, a match made in breakfast heaven!

The Bank Hotel Istanbul Talking about safes, they are still in the property. Now, the treasures there are countless wine bottles. If you’ve been a hard working chap, a wine tasting will be arranged

Highs & Lows

  • Location is awesome, just across the bridge from the historical district, a 5 min walk away from cute Karakoy for street food, 5 min from busy Galata, 10 min walk from Cihangir and its hip cool bars. Perfetto!

  • Service. Very warm and caring staff, always with a smile, a helping hand or a story. That really makes the difference on a stay

  • I’m going to sound like a little superficial brat, but the light is really very nice in the bedroom and bathroom. Felt glowie in there

  • Covid restrictions are what they are, but I’m not a huge fan of 5 different cards and reminders on every table about social distancing.. We get it, you don’t want to make out
